My wish for you |
|
|
Elizabeth Fletcher enjoyed her writing from an early age and was well on her way to being a fully fledged author before her premature death due to a road accident in 2008 when she was aged 26.
Her creative gifts show that she was blessed with a sensitive understanding of how people feel in various circumstances of life whether it be in a hospital waiting room queue or the feelings of being an adopted child. The poems also include a number that show us the way to finding a loving relationship with our Creator God that is the key to life. This delightful short selection of girlhood poems have been compiled in her memory by her parents. It is their wish that you, the reader, will enjoy these poems and will enter into the hope which shines brightly through them.
The following are extracts from four of Elizabeth's poems ... |

If I'm not here tomorrow I wish for you to know Part of me will still be here For my spirit will never go
Remember all the good times And memories that we share For love cannot be divided It'll always remain here

Beautiful is the sound of rushing water Over rock and down winding path, Beautiful is the sound of children Playing as they laugh |

Fly blue butterfly on broken wings Dance nervously upon the wind Your beauty is battered, faded, bare

Something changed in me today A feeling in my heart That all my sins are in the past I'm making a fresh start |
So now I feel so joyful To know He's close to me This man has changed me greatly God's love has set me free |
