Village Missionary Movement - serving God in India |
|
Introduction |
|||||||
|
The Village Missionary Movement was started in 1996 in a village named Kokkalanchery near Virudhunagar in Tamilnadu. Brother David Ganesan, the founder and director of this ministry, got the burden for this ministry in 1995 when he saw a vision in which Jesus Christ was weeping for the salvation of the people who lived in villages.
Now the ministry is functioning as a team ministry. It is registered under Government norms and its president is Brother J Santhosh. Please click on the picture here for a short introductory video about VMM from him. |

Our Overall Vision
VMM believe that God wants them to achieve this through ...
1000 Village Ministry VMM missionaries regularly visit 220 villages. Their vision is to preach the Gospel at least once in 1000 new villages every year.
Film Show Ministry VMM find that Jesus film is an effective way to preach the Gospel to people who have had little education. VMM screen this and other films in villages who have never heard about Jesus. Bible based films are also screened to children and young people to help them understand more about the Bible.
Hospital Ministry Many of the people in hospitals are from surrounding villages. VMM Missionaries visit people in hospital and share the Gospel and pray for them. Through this opportunities open up for the Missionaries to visit the patient's villages and share other ministries.
Village Womens Camp VMM conduct Village Women's Camps to proclaim the Gospel to the mothers of the children they meet. Through this the whole families get to experience the Gospel.
Education and Social Work As far as possible VMM try to help students in the Villages who would not be able to continue their education without some financial help. They also provide medication to needy persons where possible.
Supporting Local Churches VMM try to build good relationships with existing churches and help them in their growth. They also help reopen any closed Village Churches
