Paulina Liman

My name is Paulina Liman from Jos, Nigeria, and I am living with HIV. This happened because my husband, who was a soldier, died of AIDS in 2001. We were married for one year and he left me when I was pregnant, to barrack in another city and then move to Liberia. He finally came back to our town in the year 1997; unknown to me, he was carrying HIV. I went back to stay with him from my family house, he died and has left me positive with HIV.

The Lord, through Grace and Light, has helped me to live positively and openly with HIV. The ministry has helped me spiritually, emotionally and has provided ARV drugs for me.

I am grateful to Grace and Light and I want to advise as many as are living with HIV to learn to be open about their HIV status because I have found out it is the secret of life and peace. I am not ashamed and no-one should be ashamed. The Grace of God is sufficient. Thank you Grace and Light International.

Rebecca

My husband died of AIDS. I have 2 kids, and we were separated from my husband for 13 years as he had another woman.  My husband then came back again and my parents persuaded me to live with him again since they are originally married instead of finding another husband, so I did.  My husband asked for forgiveness and so we lived together. I then conceived but my husband died not telling me that it was AIDS, even the hospital did not disclose to me that he was positive.  When my baby was 4 months in the womb I felt something was wrong and the doctor confirmed this problem, but at first he did not tell me that the baby was HIV +. I insisted that the doctor tell me what is happening and that I wanted the results no matter what it was. So the truth was revealed to me. The baby and I were +. I lost my baby.  I am now on the 2nd stage of HIV and I am taking the drugs to slow down the virus. I am a teacher and can pay partly for the drugs.  Grace and Light is helping me.  I have come to the open and know Jesus and I am so thankful to Him for His grace upon my life.

Teresa

She is HIV positive, and has 6 children.  She thought she would die, Tassie of Grace and Light came to her house and talked to her and she decided she would like to be tested and to be open about it.  That was how she discovered she had this virus.  Her husband died 4 years ago of AIDS.  Her children were angry with her but Tassie went to talk to each one and now they support her and love her, she is so happy.  Since the first thing Grace and Light brings is the Gospel, Teresa received Jesus in her heart.  She doesn’t take the retroviral drugs yet, she is strong and can work but she would need it soon.  They are very poor and it would cost £20 a month to have these drugs, which she could not afford.

She looks to God for strength daily and believes she will receive strength from Him.  She has been coming with the team into churches and encouraging people to test them and come to the open, living in the Light of God.

Laraba

I am a stonecutter, a very tough job, and I am in the 3rd stage of HIV, and do not have any retroviral drugs. I am being being supported and encouraged by Grace and Light. I have come to the open and know Jesus. My husband left me for another woman and even we were still married he brought different women to our home several times.

I am so grateful to God for His love from other Chrtistians shown to me.
