Amen - supporting Christian Ministries in developing countries

Reginald and Caroline - Verity films and Communications

Back to Ministries

Introduction by Gareth Bolton....

It is truly staggering that from such small beginnings, Caroline and Reginald have now become important film makers in South India. This is the couple that were the inspiration to launch AMEN in 1995 after Gareth had seen one of their early films, "The Stain". Truly from small acorns mighty oak trees grow!

VFC now have their own web site and you can enter this by clicking on the picture on the right hand side.

"Ups and downs, achievements, hassles, open doors, and constraints" - click here to download their review of 2009.

In the rest of this page we highlight how our relationship developed with Caroline and Reginald over the past years.

In 2002 AMEN started raising the £20,000 needed to purchase professional editing equipment which would enable them to properly set up to operate. By mid 2002 we were able to report that half of the money required had been donated. Later that year we were able to provide the remaining equipment

Caroline and Reginald wrote "Both of us were working heavily (shooting one day throughout the night) during the production of Christmas and Year-end Special TV episodes. Caroline and I were shunting to Madras, in turns, for editing. We feel the need for an editing set up here all the more now. It is unbelievable that 50% of your target is reached. God's purposes always work out in God's way and in God's time. Our Sincere thanks to "AMEN

Using the editing equipment

In 2005 VFC embarked on a new bold venture, the  production of  a documentary on the life of Bishop Caldwell, a man who had a tremendous impact on the spread of the Gospel in India in the 19th century. Filming was undertaken in India and Scotland, and the film launched in 2006.

Mahaan was the first biographical Christian film ever produced by Indians and made an enormous impact in both India and further afield. It is true to say that this resulted in international recognition of the work of VFC.

Throughout the years AMEN has continued to support this ministry and it has been amazing to see how God has taken such small beginnings and grown them to what they are today.

The work started in their home state of Tamil Nadhu - as we see the work grow into other states and many other Indian languages it is exciting to see how God will guide and direct them in the future.

How you can help ...

We would very much appreciate all help you can give to the work of AMEN and our partners - your prayers, a visit, and donations..

If you are able to make a regular monthly donation that would be wonderful and would help us to plan ahead. Click on the picture on the left to set up a standing order with your bank using a paper form or online using Worldpay.

If you would prefer to make a one-off donation then that would also be much appreciated - please click on the picture on the left and either arrange to send us a cheque or you can give online using Worldpay

Thank you for your generosity.

In both cases, if you are a UK tax payer we would ask you to make a Gift Aid declaration. This will help us to increase the gift which you give to us - courtesy of the UK government - at no cost to yourself. You only need to do this once and it covers all future donations. A declaration is included in each of the forms above - if you are making your donation on line then please select the correct option below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Even if you are a UK tax payer you can only claim gift aid if you pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations in the tax year (28% of your gift).
